Veneer Staircase, Home Counties

Our partners for this stunning bronze and veneer staircase project were Richard Parr Associates on behalf of main contractors, Kingerlee Ltd.

In a nutshell, we delivered the vision of the Architects and brought to life their design concept.

The feature staircase takes centre stage in a light-filled entrance hall. Clean, crisp Limestone treads and risers are teamed with bronze uprights and veneer to create contrast and command attention.

On the inside of the staircase sits a parapet wall incorporating a walnut handrail with an ergonomic profile. Working with lighting specialists, Light House Designs Ltd, the parapet wall includes a recess for LED lighting. Because lighting played a key part in the design, a sampling process took place, ensuring it functioned as envisaged on paper. The chandelier is a design from Charlotte Packe

The parapet wall is clad in a distinctive veneer with grain ranging from light tobacco to dark violet in colour.

Cast bronze uprights, with an aged finish, form the opposite side of the balustrade.
